Valve Regulated Lead-Acid (VRLA) battery

A Valve Regulated Lead-Acid (VRLA) battery is a type of sealed lead-acid (SLA) battery designed to be maintenance-free and safer than traditional flooded lead-acid batteries. Instead of requiring periodic topping up of water, it is sealed with a pressure relief valve (hence “valve regulated”) that only opens if internal pressure becomes too high.
